This presentation will provide information on how the coaches at Staying Ahead of the Game!, LLC help students initiate a personal journey towards a more organized and productive school life. Students with ADHD and parents of students with ADHD will find the information shared particularly beneficial. Participants will learn about the key tools used to help students including: Impression Management, Calendaring, Organization Skills, Life and Compensatory Skills.
The teaching strategies reviewed here will be effective with all students. However, for the student with ADHD, these modifications are necessities -- not luxuries. Student with ADHD have a complicated disorder. With understanding and the right kinds of help, ADHD doesn’t have to be an overwhelming stumbling block, but a challenge to be confronted and mastered.
